The Porter Family Trust was created in December, 1979, when the four Porter sisters, Mary Porter Buddington, Jane Porter Ryder, Louise Porter Bahnson, and Suzanne Porter Wilkins, all signed an agreement to allow their summer home, which was inherited from their mother, Alice Hastings Porter, to be passed down to future generations for their own use and enjoyment.  In 1993 they named from among their children four "successor trustees" to continue the operation and management of the home for the benefit of all of the Porter descendants.  The home is currently under the supervision of this Board of Trustees, with input from all family members.  This web site was established in 2006 to provide access to information for family members and for guests using the house. The Porter Family LLC was created in 2018 to manage the Trust, and in 2020 the protective seawall collapsed resulting in the sale of the property to our neighbor, who graciously allowed us to use the house for two years before it was demolished to restoreas part of the restoration of the natural beach.
